Attorney ProfilesRobert F. Schnatmeier, Jr.Rob is a partner with Gentry, Smith, Dettmering, Morgan & Schnatmeier, LLP. His practice areas include Personal Injury Litigation, Criminal Defense, Worker’s Compensation and other general litigation. Rob was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1968. He earned a basketball scholarship to the College of Charleston and received his Bachelor of Science degree with honors in 1991. Rob was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1994 after receiving his Juris Doctor degree from Georgia State University’s College of Law. Prior to joining the firm, Rob was a partner with the law firm of Flournoy, Morgan & Schnatmeier, LLP. From 1997 through 1999, Rob was an Assistant District Attorney in DeKalb County where he was a trial attorney prosecuting felonies in the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit. He began his legal career as an Assistant Solicitor General prosecuting misdemeanors in the State Court of Cobb County. Rob is currently a member of the Cobb County Bar Association, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the Cobb County Trial Lawyers Association, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Cobb County Criminal Defense Section (currently serving as President of the organization) and the Cobb County Christian Lawyers Section. Rob also serves as an Assistant Solicitor in the Municipal Court of Marietta and he sits as a Judge Pro Hac Vice in the State Court of Cobb County. In addition to the Georgia Bar, Rob has been admitted to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the United States District Court of Georgia. Rob and his wife Allison live in Marietta, Georgia with their two children and are actively involved with the First United Methodist Church of Marietta. |
